How Sreepadam Ayurveda Hospital runs its OPD on RxMitra.
A multi-doctor Ayurveda hospital in Kerala connected RxMitra to its AyurHIS hospital system — prescriptions flow from voice dictation to the billing desk without a second entry.
The problem
Sreepadam's OPD ran on AyurHIS for patient registration, billing and pharmacy — but doctors still wrote or typed consultations separately. Every visit meant double work: consult in one place, re-enter the same patient, complaints and medicines in the hospital system.
What changed
The hospital's doctors now consult in QuickConsult: they dictate the patient details, complaints and medicines by voice, review the structured draft, sign it, and send the prescription PDF to the patient on WhatsApp — all inside the clinic visit.
The RxMitra–AyurHIS integration then syncs each prescription automatically:
- Patient matching by mobile — an existing AyurHIS patient is verified by phone number; new patients are registered automatically. No duplicate records.
- Complaints, diagnosis & medicines land on the same OPD visit — the pharmacy sees the prescription without re-typing.
- Consulting fee posted once — if payment was already collected that day, no duplicate charge; otherwise the fee is added to the visit.
- The right doctor is credited — the prescribing doctor's mobile is matched to the AyurHIS staff record, so visits are attributed correctly.
- Separate revisits stay separate — same-day duplicate syncs create their own visit, not a merged one.
The result
Doctors spend the consultation on the patient, not the keyboard. The billing desk, pharmacy and OPD register stay current without asking anyone to re-enter anything — one dictation becomes the clinical record, the prescription and the bill.
